The course is a par 72 and off of the white tees its 6144yds (scorecard attached) with a nice mix of par 3, 4, & 5’s on both front and back nine’s.

It’s a relatively flat course which I guess is no surprise given the local geography with some good challenging holes with bunkers in just the right position (or not in my case). A good amount of water to make sure you think about position and club selection. The greens were all open and in good condition however they had just had a vertical cut (not quite sure what this involves!) and were quite sandy.

The carts have GPS which is very useful. The slight annoyance with the carts is that if you go off track they cut out and stop so you have to reverse back until you are on the right track!

Toilets and water/ice machines are located on the 7th & 14th holes.

Long socks & bug spray are highly recommended.

Unfortunately we did not get to see any gators on the course however we were told that there is a possibility so be careful by the water…! So, don’t go hunting for that precious Pro v1…!

Money, we paid approx. $190 for a 3 ball, including golf carts, club hire and taxes.

We were interrupted by a thunderstorm at the turn, so decided to come in and have some lunch in the clubhouse. We got talking to some members who were all very nice and offered some guidance with the course. Its well worth downloading a decent weather app so you know if it’s worth hanging around or heading home! This one chap had an app that showed the location of each lightning strike! Once the storm passed we played another 5 holes however by 12.30 it was hot and decided to call it a day.

Lightning Strikes – If the course decides it is not safe to continue play it will sound a siren which means you must come in…!

Overall, it’s a decent course, with good facilities and friendly members.
